Almost Retired
You will soon be able to retire. Because everyone experiences retirement differently and every situation is unique, you may choose how your pension is invested. At StiPP, there is a low-risk pension. This means you receive more or less the same amount every year. But there are also other investment options, such as no risk (you receive the same fixed amount every month for life) or a variable pension with higher risk (one year you may receive more and another year less). You may choose the option that suits you. This is regulated by law.
If you do not choose StiPP’s standard pension, you will need to find another pension provider yourself. We help you with that. We show you what payment you can expect with each investment risk. And we help you switch to another provider. Well arranged, right?
This website operates independently from StiPP. Through this site, Apple Tree enables you to select the most suitable (highest) offer in the market from the providers Apple Tree works with. StiPP is not responsible for the quotes or the execution of the pension benefits of the pension insurer you select, nor for the advice you receive from Apple Tree.
About six months before you turn 67, you will receive a letter from StiPP. It explains what you are entitled to. This letter includes the pension capital you have built up so far, and it shows the expected amount of your lifelong pension benefit at StiPP. You can also find this information at StiPP.metpensioen.nl. You need this information to calculate an alternative pension.
Note: You can switch providers up to a maximum of one month before your desired pension start date.
